- Chinese model makers -

Google map/earth geeks have recently discovered this mysterious rectangular site, approximately 900x700m, 35km north of Yinchuan, northern China. It's the ultimate site model, 1:500, of 157,500 square kilometres of territory in and around China's Aksai Chin border region that abuts India and Pakistan. It is complete with snow-capped peaks and glacial valleys dotted with numerous lakes.

Let us bow to the Chinese gods of model-making.

No, but apparently it has generated widespread debate...I'm sorry I missed it?
The actual use of the site model is still unknown, but there is speculation that it is used for a (large) mini putt-putt course.

I'd say it was just a Graduation Project student getting a bit carried away.

Read more about it here.
