- fruit and veges -

fruit and veges
Juice and flesh of beetroot, oranges, passionfruit, kiwifruit and tomatoes, vinegar (to set colour) on 500gsm Bockingford watercolour paper.

Well here is the fruit and vege painting that I did for a project (Macklin's Painting and Design: Hybridity) last semester. It is made up of juices and pulps of beetroot, oranges, passionfruit, kiwifruit and tomatoes, with vinegar to set the colour. I'll put up the progress pictures up in the next post.

I was gonna say that'd make this an edible painting, and than I realise I don't eat beetroot :P

At least that's one good use of it. :P

It's very cool though :) Love of colour of the beetroot actually. :)

come to think of it, you should have held a fruit throwing party and asked everone to compose their own masterpiece. how fun would that be?!?!

I wanna see all your Macklin work one day - it looks fab! ;)

Hehe, remember I had thought about that lin? I was gonna do that but thought some fruits would just go bounce and numerous dents would be the extent of my painting.

My Macklin work is at Clara's at the moment.. I hope my painting hasn't rotted yet...

And what's wrong with beets? I love them! I can just eat them from the can!
