- xmen, the last stand? -
I love the reviews from fridae, here's an exemplary one for xmen that starts off with "I hate Brett Ratner." It talks about the total obliviousness to the gay subtext that we were all very fond of from Xmen and X2 that Bryan Singer delightfully crafted.Xmen: The Last Stand - reviewed by fridae

I haven't seen X-Men: The Last Stand and I was disappointed at the presence of spoilers in the review [that's not to say I wanted to watch it, or anything], but the rest of the reviews on the site were kinda interesting in their incessant 'gay spotting,' [though, I seriously don't give a fuck whether the Presets are gay].
I think the reviews would have been more interesting were they not found in a 'gay' site – it's all about context. I'm not surprised when a gay article appears in a site that includes as a subheading the words 'empowering' and 'gay.' But, if the writers managed to get their words into a non-partisan medium, then it would have been an infinitely more fascinating read.
