- crash -

A car sped went past an intersection just by my place the other day (12/4/06, Norton & Kennedy intersection), blinded by the light, it missed seeing another car crossing the intersection and rammed into it. The car that was rammed lost control and smashed into 2 more parked cars along the side of the road. Arrival of ambulance and tow-trucks ensued. I don't believe anyone was seriously hurt.

- a river map of wispy proportions -
Harold N. Fisk's 1944 Geological Investigation of the Alluvial Valley of the Lower Mississippi River. You have to see this in its maximised glory: original sized version (via Pruned). Part one of Pruned's post has more info and links regarding the work. This is sublime!

I'm linking these two posts' images directly to Pruned's images, if this is wrong in any way, please do not hesitate to buzz me.
- talking about mapping -
I was truly inspired by this magnificent one. A cylindrical projection of Jupiter, compiled with images taken by the Cassini spacecraft in December 2000. (via Pruned)
